Woodward's second-generation current pressure converter (CPC-1I) is a 10 bar, 2-zone, simplex version with enhanced dynamic characteristics, which is an electro-hydraulic pressure regulating control valve used to position the servo mechanism/actuator of a single acting steam turbine valve. CPC-1 solves one of the industry's top reliability issues of oil pollution, which affects the normal operation time and performance of equipment. CPC-1 receives a 4-20 mA pressure demand signal and accurately controls the oil pressure to accurately position the single acting turbine control valve. Accurate and stable steam valve control is directly related to the improvement of turbine speed and load control, as well as the reduction of system mechanical wear.
