Function description
The HG57500C GOTTIUG frequency generator generates alternating current in a conductive loop for track guidance of an automated guided vehicle (AGV). The board is equipped with two independent generators with power amplifiers and a transformer for DC decoupling. The frequency is stored in the EPROM and can be selected using a 16-bit hexadecimal switch or a 4-digit input.
The two generators convert voltages through different transformers, so they can be individually adjusted and set to provide a constant output level. Short circuits and breaks can be detected and indicated by leds on the front panel.
Each generator provides 2 separate sets of connectors for connecting short or long loops. The difference between the maximum load impedance and current between the short loop and the logarithmic loop is about 1:2. Fine-tuning potentiometers "Strom 1" and "Strom 2" affect both outputs at the same time.
For load impedance higher than 100 ohms, the inductive reactance component can be balanced by capacitors that must be assembled on the board (using output "closed-loop length compensation"). Capacity must be determined for each application.
In addition, the frequency generator supports stacking. This means that the two generators on the board can be connected in series. Thus, twice the impedance can be provided to the loop.
